Cot damn...

Is that Harden looking the fool again? :p

HOward deal??!?!? NO way!!

I would laugh long and hard if he refused :D

But at least we can dispense with the season now and move straight onto the inevitable Heat/Lakers final which will be blooming epically amazing! :D

The throw up of the deal is we can now ignore the Magic as a team for the next 5 years, that and the Nuggets with Iggie should be real contenders. Can see them pushing it against Thunder/Lakers for the final.

I know I said this last season but watch out for the Timberwolves this year, Brandon Roy and Rubio in the back court, Love at centre and Kirilenko with Williams making up the starting 5 and there bench with Shved, Barea, Ridnour, Pek etc making up a good bench. The Lakers did get stronger, a lot stronger but so did a lot of the West.

Wolves should be interesting in the mix with Nuggets, Lakers and Thunder. Wonder what odds I can get for them being final four in west :)

East is a joke this year. Bulls weaker (without Rose) Boston weaker (lost Allen and Pierce/Garnett not getting any younger) Indiana standing still, Nets better but no better than average, Hawks weaker, Orlanda lol and Knicks... well the Knicks are always a mess (though they should be better than they are)

Heat some dance through this division but pray they get second best overall record as the finals stupid setup favours the second seed as last season proved.

Lakers deal offical  dear god that is one special ******* team! Nash/Kobe/Howard/Gasol/Meta or Jamison. DAMN! Would like to see the Heat pick up Odom if that could still happen to give a bit of extra bench to combat that. Heat/LAkers match up would probably be slightly in favour of Lakers at the mo unless Bron decides he will be god as he showed he could be last season. Howard will dominate the basket and if you focus him you leave Kobe on the outside and with Nash pulling the strings that is some scary ****! Though Nash could have issues fitting into the system and Nash plays smart, he is no ego rubber and if Kobe doesn't get the ball all the time could be some serious hissy fits going on.

Shaping up to be a great season :D:D:D

Do the Magic actually have any outstanding player now? End up one of the bottom teams get a top draft pick... That'll be like 5 first round picks they'll have haha.

They have no one, they might even have released Anderson iirc. The guy who had a breakout season. Them and Rockets are a mess.

Lakers, Denver, Howard and Steve Nash are all winners in this trade. Props to the Lakers, they have made the right decisions over the last 10 years to keep competitive. Whether it was Kobe over Shaq in 2004, not trading Kobe in 2007 and not panicking after loosing out on CP3 last year. They managed to take of Nash from a fierce pacific division rival, and pretended they didn't really want Howard when Orlando tried to force Turkoglu's nasty contract too. Oh and they got Howard by retaining Gasol, cot damn!

Nash goes from a lottery team playing with 11 bench guys to playing in a team with Kobe, Gasol and Howard. Denver signed Afflalo to a long, overpaid contract with no intention of keeping him (much like they did with Nene) and got a good deal. Philly, I think got a good deal too and Bynum becomes the best Centre in the East. He now has a team of his own, where he can jack up 3s and take 20 shots p/g if he wants...

Orlando panicked and got no vaselined though. They refused a decent Nets offer for Arron Afflalo and Al Harrington from Denver, Mo Harkless and Nikola Vucevic from Philadelphia, and three protected first round picks from each of the other three teams... Oh and lets not mention Houston....

Heat vs Celtic on opening night, so pumped for the new season now.

Hopefully Heat can make it 2 years in a row, however some strong teams this year as ever.

Lakers first game of the pre-season today, albeit at a very late time for us who live in Europe.

Howard won't be playing, he looks great going by what reporters are saying from training camp though! Exciting season ahead for the LA Lakers.

I might just get a team pass for the Clippers. Generally only end up watching their games anyway! Not enough time to watch everything else

Looking like we have a very strong team this season. With Billups back so long as Jordan has continued to develop his post game we should be able to get buckets from everywhere.

Can't wait :D
