Hi all,

Surprised not to have seen anything about a remake of NiGHTS into Dreams for Xbox Live Arcade and PSN on here!


what are your thoughts? Personally - I'm up for it. I have always wanted to play it and as a retro collector now I have always kicked myself for not buying a Saturn with 8games for £3 (!) once, I wanted to get NiGHTS ever since. This is the time i'll play it!

P.S I hope it has the Christmas mode :D
 
Indeed! Surely it will get a release sooner or later. Had it with the pad at release and loved it.
 
Need that pad

Remember this game being amazing, not played it since Saturn days, dont want to go back to it, leave it in the **** bank.

Loved the original, however i hope the video isn't in game footage of this HD remake, because it looks terrible =/
 
Anyone else still have the original Saturn version? I don't :( but I do have the Analog controller which was made for this game on the Saturn. :)
 
I actually played the Saturn version not so long ago so it's good to see it with improved graphics. It looks a hell of a lot better than the Saturn version did, that's for sure.

Yeah! it has Christmas Nights. Now my yearly tradition will be in HD ! (Sorry Saturn)

Just a heads up that this is a port of the PS2 version, not the Saturn version so prepare to be disappointed. They talked about it on this weeks Rebel FM and were quite down on it. A shame really. I never played the original but it's always a shame when the games you used to play don't hold up.

Sure it has the Saturn original version to be unlocked.
 
While this re-release may not hold up for some, at least it is still a nice trippy colourful game (All you modern FPS/3rdPS games can suck it with your limited palettes of browns, greys and greens.) and the soundtrack is still as amazing.

Bad day at work? Being stressed out? NiGHTS could remedy that being a feel-good game and all. :p
 
i have the orginal one and just bought this version, i really dont know why the ps2 version is getting ripped on so much it seems pretty much the same, and i played the saturn version to death :)

plus the psn one has the original saturn version as well :)

hehe i remember getting the official saturn mag with christmas nights and a ton of mem card data getting used just for world ai :D

the wee noobs doing different stuff and fishing etc it was pretty awesome how the world changed etc when it first came out :)

edit: the original saturn version seems to respond slightly faster on the controls :D

Yeah the PS2 version was Japan-only any way, and this HD version is practically based upon that, which had the original Saturn and PS2 remade modes itself. Could just be people hating on it without even playing or knowing that version beforehand.
