Southern Blood

Obviously no ones been to Bradford it seems.

I was at Bradford Uni in the '90s, it wasn't particularly bad for violence apart from the riots, which were contained to other parts of the city. Manchester is far worse imo, when I went to visit my sister who was at Manchester Uni her local corner shop had a security partition. One of her hall mates supposedly got murdered in the first year. Manchester/Salford are by far the most unpleasant places I've been to in the UK.

This is true, avoid a few areas and you are pretty much fine in Belfast. City centre is usually a deadzone, shaftsbury and bradbury even riund the Odyssey are all fine for walking.

Although one time I went to the Globe and was quite surprised to find 20+ PSNI armed with automatic weapons standing outside at closing time. (Don't judge me, I'd just moved and didn't know it was a dump.)

The roughest place I've experienced (though not in the UK) is without a doubt Naples in Italy. Drove through it after landing at Napoli airport on route to Sorrento a few years back!

Edinburgh / Glasgow and Manchester are nothing compared to this place.

You only drove through it, that's nothing. Just wait until you see parts of it on foot. An armed guard at night would be of no use. :D

I'm in Manchester all the time and haven't felt scared nor even intimidated once that I can recall.

That may be because I look hard as nails.

Or because I don't wear a blazer.

Take your pick, one of the above is true.

Digbeth in Brum is pretty rough when you're at a DnB gig where every other punter is coming up to the door with a weapon concealed on their person and you've got to stand there telling them to do one.

You kids don't know you're born. Derry is full of some of the worst places known to man, Bogside, Galliagh, Shantallow, Brandywell, Creggan etc.

Regular kneecappings, shootings, pipe bombs, petrol bombs, kidnapping, punishment beatings etc. There's a reason our police force drive around in armour plated landrovers!

Ive lived in manchester 20 years, last 2 years in rusholme and towards moss side, and never once have i seen a knife out nevermind a gun. OP clear pansy.

I've been to Manchester, it was ace. No trouble at all, didn't see any of the stuff you're talking about. The same with Liverpool. I guess you just need to stay clear of the rough parts the same as most large city's.

Agreed, its not hard to find where not to go before hand in Manchester or Liverpool...
