I think Pique is pretty good this year. Would work in the middle of the back 3.

I had a La Liga CB called Miranda, had pace in the mid 70s, was pretty decent for me despite only being rated as 78 overall. He's cheap as well, I picked him up for less than 4k in 4-1-2-1-2, so he'd be cheaper in a 3-5-2 I reckon.

He's not actually that slow. If you sit him in the middle, it doesn't really matter.

Thats what I thought about Hummels! his maybe Pique is more agile though? Will give it thought, would go for a 4 back but the La Liga fullbacks are just wingers!

Hard to say really as I've not used Hummels yet, but Pique is certainly not slow like a tank. Obviously not as swift as others, but he does pretty well.

That said, I know of a lot of people who swore by Pique last year but I thought he was atrocious.

And yeah, they do seem to be lacking in decent non-winger defenders. And the good ones are rather pricy.

Knew I shouldn't have sold my 4-2-3-1 Ronaldinho last night for 9k, his price has rocketed. Just bought another for 8.8k though, so hopefully will still make a reasonably profit.
