Southern Blood

Parked up in a Cardiff car park only to notice a mob of skin heads in another car giving me the look. Thought i was in real trouble when they got out only to realise with a sense of relief they were all a bunch of harry Krishnas. Lol, when they were in the car you couldn't see their robes.

Its probably pretty rough, but just don't go there if you don't have the need to. I love the pubs and bars of Withinton and Didsbury though, always have a good night out there, be it a pub quiz, a quiet drink or a lively bar. Old House At Home in Withinton on a thursday night is great.

Yeah,I wouldn't show my ugly mug there if I don't have to.... :D

Didsbury has always been kinda nice, hasn't it? I've never been to Manchester but definitely want to have a look around at some point. Should be fun. :)

I've been to some quite choice places around South London, particularly parts of Lambeth and Southwark, that have been quite hairy sometimes. But I know there's a lot worse in the country. There's been mention of Croydon high street but it's really not that bad, even on a Friday night there's just lots of fights from people who can't handle their drink.

Outside of the UK, there were some outer-city areas of the USA and Brazil that can be pretty dangerous if you don't look/dress like the locals.

Going to Manc in a few weeks and will be stopping at a Travelodge. While checking up I read that the one near Ancoats is a bit dodgy, and that the area is not good. So booked one a little south of the city near the O2, which got much better reviews,

As long as you didn't eat from the burger van you were OK :)

Sums Tiger Tiger up. They have a "happy hour" from 5 till 9 when drinks are half price so inevitably people end up getting smashed out of their faces.

I've never had any problems in Croydon though. Just keep yourself to yourself and NEVER make eye contact with anyone :D

Haha! I never got myself in any trouble when I lived there, but it was that uncomfortable feeling you get sometimes where your rectum puckers right up and you think 'TAAAAAAAXI!!' :p

This country isnt bad lets be honest ive been all over and never felt like the op so maybe the op is just a bit of a wuss?

I just remembered that we had to park in cages at PRIMARY schools in Brizzle! So the cute little tots couldn't strip down the cars!

I think it was either fulford or fair furlong?

Great... Been reading this thread since its creation, only to walk into work this morning and be told I'm off to Manchester next month for a 3 day course. A bit north of Ardwick on Ashton old road.

Can anyone suggest a place to stay for 3 nights.

I'd probably say the castlefield hotel then. What life there is in Manchester it's not far from and there's secure floodlight parking.

Moss side in Manchester was pretty bad. We were working on a house and right outside on the road was loads of flowers and notes as there had been a shooting there and a lad died a few days before .

Liverpool is also pretty bad. Especially if they ask you something and you don't reply back with a Liverpool accent.

Just realised I hadn't told this story. I was based in west gorton for work, but travelled over the hills and back every day rather than live in Manchester.

We started doing nights at one bit, and on one of my nightshifts a lad was killed and left against the fence which, on the other side of a prefab wall, about 10 yards away, I was sitting.

:/

They filmed shameless in the precinct opposite. Sometimes you'd see the mobile camera vans in our car park :)
