My friend convinced me to go with him to the San Marino game. I hope I'm not sitting too close to the bench - Neville and Hodgson sitting too close to me might not end well.

If does get a little heated then you and your mate can hold hands. :p I'll be there so if you wave, I'll wave back.

Hoping for double figure goal count at the san marino game....all out attack! :p (Statistically worst or 2nd worst team in the EU aren't they?)

Ryan Bertrand pulls out of the squad with a sore throat....this tweet to the BBC sums my feelings up nicely.

And on Ryan Bertrand pulling out of the England squad, Nick Young on Twitter says: "Who pulls out of England duty with a sore throat, 36 hours before the game?! Take a Strepsil, man up and put your shorts on."

Sums up the modern day footballer for the most part, bunch of overpaid children.

Why on earth would you pull out of possibly representing your country and claiming a stake for yourself for a future starting berth by going home because your throat tickles. I'd never think about doing that on a Friday night's 5 aside game, never mind this...

FA confirm that Wayne Rooney will captain England in Friday night's World Cup qualifier against San Marino.

Apparently he tweeted "glands are up, hot and cold, not just a sore throat"....hmmm

"Just to clarify.... It's not a 'sore throat'," Bertrand tweeted. "I'm ill, swollen glands in my neck and constant headache for three days now and freezing cold."

"Do you think a 'sore throat' could stop me being a part of a match for my club or country? #your****ingnuts this is what every boy dreams of."

And then...

"sorry if I offended anyone by swearing as I don't encourage that type of language. Was just disappointed at the thought of people thinking I only have a sore throat. Which is not the case."

It was a friendly:

youtube video

The commentary on that is brilliant, good to see they are still doing the long GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL every time even though they seem to have introduced a comedy pause so it starts well after the goal is scored and then they've added a little bit of music to celbrate if only the BBC would do similar
