The Unofficial, official OCUK energy drink thread

Why did you go to the effort of scribbling on the box to hide your address when you could have just blanked it out in paint? IT illiterate much?

Doubt he's computer illiterate. First of all he is Asian and second he has an mmo mouse.

Must admit Red devil isn't too bad, tastes like candy to me. Most energy drinks give me a headache, Mountain Dew is the only one I'm able to drink and not writhe in pain an hour or so later.

What is it with Asians and learning to build computers from the age of 12, and dreaming of working in a technical support call centre?

I am asian and this post is typical.

I was browsing around Tesco this week and noticed that they're selling Rocket Fuel again. That has a much higher caffeine concentration than energy drinks. It's also the second worst tasting drink I've ever had (after V8, which a coworker memorably described as "sick in a can").

I'm currently drinking Emerge, which was on sale for 29p for a 250ml can. You can almost always find odd brands at that price. I usually drink Happy Shopper sugar free, because I'm not into drinks that are 10-15% sugar. Almost all of the energy drinks are pretty much the same anyway - 0.32mg/100ml and 10-15% sugar unless they're sugar free - and they almost all taste nasty. I did try a blueberry flavoured one I like the taste of, with the rather silly name "Xdurance". Talking of names, Power Horse wins there.

I see OcUK's version as an impulse buy to add to an order for no real reason.

Cannot wait for the day these drinks get banned.

Why? When I was at uni I needed them to get any work done. I heard at the time that they were banned in France and I hated the idea of them ever being banned.

They do no harm, and are safer than alcohol and many otc drugs.

Try red devil if you havnt already, it tastes like candy and rainbows.

It taste like red bull but not as sweet, however i do not think its worth the £1 price because i can get energy drinks for 30 pence that do the same job and taste just as good.

now I do not spend a lot of money but I like to spend some on energy drinks and drinks in general, i do drink a lot of water (around 8 litres a day minimum), but if my friends are around my drinks always go so im always topping up :P.

So i spend around min £100-£125 each month. I top up every 2-2.5 weeks. Im still deciding if i want these.

Haha 8 litres of water a day, now I've heard everything. Oh yeah, posted online so not true :)
