*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

I just can't get to grips with it this year its just seems disjointed.why do the strikers always seems to want to take an extra touch when receving an over the top ball.also when passing its like waiting for Xmas for the other guy to recieve and is it me or is shooting just random now I have it on auto but yestrday did a couple of crosses and Torres shots managed to go out for throw in lol.maybe its just me cuz my kids are totally battering me every game with no name players they reckon they get players with pace and highest aggression but I think they just pulling my plonker .any guys here wanna play some games add me please before I am jailed for assault and artery on my kids lol
 
Just played against an amazing PL team with Kompany, Maicon, Torres etc. and he just played ultra defensive all game, it's so boring, what's the point...?
 
Another 2 packs and another 2 loads of complete crap! :mad:

Does anyone know if you have any promo packs (Ultimate Edition plus the Season Ticket packs) - does it matter when you actually open them?

What I mean is, when (if?) EA start doing the happy hours again, if I open the actual packs during the happy hour, will I get the benefit or is it down to when they are "purchased" or "issued"??
 
Annoyed you can't play Seasons with Legacy defending, had the shock of my life as I played the other day and was WTF why are my defenders not tackling! Still managed to keep a clean sheet and nick a goal in the 89th min and the guy decided to disconnect!

Am going to have to get used to tactical now, really hate using it!

I was the same, I hated Tactical Defending, but now I'm used to it, I actually prefer it, for online at least. I think if you used Legacy Defending against a good skiller he'd rip you to bits, with with Tactical you can stand off easier and just pick your time to tackle. It works really well for me most of the time.

WTF you thought you could play online and use legacy defending? Where have you been? :p

Of course you cant use it, get used to tactical defending, though I feel sorry for you, tactical defending in 13 is a lot harder than it was in 12...

Yeah I reckon so too. Jockeying in 12 usually somehow kept up with someone, now it's like I can't press the frigging button hard enough.

One thing is better though, if you mis-time a standing tackle in 13, your player doesn't seem to flop around like a **** for what feels like forever, allowing the opponent to stroll past. Now I think players get up from a missed tackle a bit quicker, giving you a chance to catch up.

I don't agree with a lot of your problems, I win some, I lose some, but at the end of the day, I'm having fun most of the time with it.

Am a bit of a gung ho defender at the best of times, I just feel this need to do what it takes to win the ball back :p So that is why legacy suits me I think but yeah I do see what you mean. I just can't seem to time my tackles at all though, going to have to practise a lot more I think!

Also how you doing Davey, long time no speak. Remember talking football with you back in the day, Everton fan I believe?

On FIFA 12 I don't think I played a single game against the computer or random people online just played mates so didn't even know. I thought this time I am going to try all the features of the game and realised this!

Was on tactical when I used to play mates initially and kept on getting whooped hence why I changed back to legacy.

FWIW I like Nasri, didn't enjoy Silva but haven't tried Mata, Kagawa, Cazorla, etc. so...

Just dont get too disheartened while moving to tactical if you get whooped a lot, FIFA 13 attacking AI just makes defending much much harder, so dont take that as a sign that you suck at tactical defending, more that it takes insane effort to keep a clean sheet most of the time...

Obviously EA have kept in the times where your defenders just decide to ignore your inputs or you just cant select the right defender in time...

It doesn't bother me, just after the thing yesterday with someone grammar I had to be "That guy" :p

We need a game though, see where eachother mises and messes up etc...!

Also, what the? Aguero up from about 100k to 145k now? Hmm, might wait a while then!
 
Im just drawing far to many games i will either be losing 2-0 and come back and score two or the other and more annoying i will be winning 2-0 and he scores two doing my head in!
