BMW and M Power Owners

Luke520d started his post above with two pics saying "My old 520d with 120k miles on it" then posted the replacement as the white one above now. Muffin has found the same black E60 for sale on gumtree with 30k less miles.

Ohhh.

If you were going to lie about a car on the internet, why would you choose a 520d!?

Don't forget to report back on the benefits - i'm particularly interested if road noise is any quieter?

OK initial impressions are very positive, the ride is definitely improved, car now longer seems to "crash" over hole in the road. It's obvious that there is more "give" in these tyres than the runflats. Makes for a more pleasant driving experience.

Not really had much of a chance to drive the car hard yet but from the bit of chucking it about I've done so far the dynamics of the car seem pretty much the same. The car now feels less skittish as the tyres now seem to be better able to deal with uneven and rough roads, there seems less work for the suspension to do as it's taken up by the tyres.

Road noise is definitely reduced but that said all 4 of my runflats were pretty much worn out so anything would have probably been an improvement.

135i Rims

Hey all, been thinking about getting my 135i rims painted black... The dealer worded me up and said they can do it in no time at just under £100 a corner.

I have the two attached pics to show as a comparison and would like some opinions if possible? (The black rims shown are a bad photoshop just incase u were wondering)

Well if the dealer 'worded you up' then black rims will look 'well phat'.

Lol, yeh tis why I thought I'd throw out the big Q and see what people thought. I honestly want to keep the car as stock and clean as possible and obviously wasn't completely sold on the idea since it was mentioned.....

Only advantage I can see is I won't have to clean them every few days trying to hide the brake dust etc....

I'm sure I've seen that very car or another manual E60 V8 in that colour on PH before. I think it was a dealers show car and it had the most random options ticked by them or BMW UK and it sat for sale for a long long time :p
