Excellent! Told you it was impressive in weight, sharpness, AF etc
Roll on the 35mm!
Sigma are definitely winning with these lenses![]()
Whats wrong with the 35L?
How many flashes have you had die now RL?
Why not just cut your losses and just sell it once fixed. Maybe get some 430exii's for off camera and/or a 680 if the reliability issues have been resolved.

I wish they'd at the very least post sample images if not a release date!
At the sort of "Pop" the 85 is giving images, you can only imagine what the 35mm will giveI wish they'd at the very least post sample images if not a release date!
I think I will take the 85 and 17-40 with me to the photo meet. The latter for if we see any interesting architecture with the 85 for everything else. Should be a blast![]()

It's actually perfect for flashless night time street photos, the 35 and 85 will come into their own. Bung on ISO 2000 and 1/80s~ and go wild
The 50mm 1.4 does a great job but that range doesn't have the look and feel of the 85mm really and if the reports of the 35mm are true then it should be just as good.
Weather has yet to allow me to shoot outside properly yet, Friday perhaps!

***warning*** incoming noob question....
How do you work out the effective focal length of a lens when fitted to a non full frame camera like the D7000?
Cheers![]()
You multiply the focal length by the crop factor of that sensor, in the D7000's case, 1.5x!
