A bit (ok, really quite a lot) mental and sci-fi-ish, but the Illuminatus Trillogy by Michael Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.
Thanks for the recommendations.
I have read angels and demons and the da Vinci code by Dan Brown. May take a look at some others if worth it.
Are there any decent non fiction books of this nature? Along the lines of the bible code and illuminati/Freemason kind of subject matter.
Wish there was a genre name lol.
I would avoid reading too much Dan Brown his books are very very samey and if you read them all in a short space of time you'll inevitably start to pick them apart as he reueses so much stuff.
Oh god yes, after finishing the Da Vinci Code over the summer (being several years behind everyone else) I read Angles and Daemons straight away, you could guess the whole plot without trying, it is just a refinement of a process of writing...
