Anyone going? :)

I've got my tickets booked. Am in the stalls.

What sort of music will they be playing? Anything from FF8? My absolute favourite piece of music from Final Fantasy is when you fight Edea for the first time in FF8:

(Think it's this - Can't confirm as I'm at work without speakers :p)

It's the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. They play all sorts of music from the games, a few tracks from each. There is a choir too for the vocal tracks.

They opened the concert last year with Liberi Fatali, the opening song to VIII.

Seems to be a high demand for tickets. I went to look at the website and am currently number 380 in the queue.

EDIT: £135 a ticket?!

They might release more later like they did last year due to high demand.

Hope they will as I wanted to go last year but couldn't afford. Would definately go this year if I have the chance.

I wish I knew about this in advanced, all tickets are gone now. Are there any resellers or any other way to get tickets?

I did consider flying up for it but I couldn't get everything to work out time wise and seeing as I'm seeing it in London a few days before the cost was a bit too much to justify it anyway. I'm genuinely surprised they still have tickets for it though seeing as London sold out in a few hours.

I'm starting to get excited for the London one. My family loved the DVD so I got them tickets as various birthday presents. It's a good opportunity to show non-gamers one of the many positive sides of gaming culture as opposed to news reports and dross you see whenever someone blames gaming for whatever crime they commit.

That's the one!

Not an official orchestral piece but it's amazing nonetheless.

I think VIII has the best OST of any Final Fantasy game. Others like VI, VII, and IX all have some amazing tracks but VIII just seems to have a whole load more amazing tracks. I'm also thinking that VIII is my favourite FF game too but I can't say for certain :p.

I think it would have sold out if it was advertised at same time as the London one. Seen a few annoyed people online that they announced it a few days after and many would have gone to Scotland instead of travelling to the London one. At least Uematsu is at the London one they they get a little extra.

Got everything booked yesterday £140 for ticket, train from Leeds and back and overnight in hotel. Only downside is going on my own lol.

I went last year. Wanted to take my new girlfriend this year only to find out the tickets had sold out on the day of release. Gutted was not the word.

Anyone actually going to this? Getting a little bit excited about meeting Nobuo tbh! :p

Also looks like Hironobu Sakaguchi will be showing up which will also be really cool! :D
