French Shootings.

It's called plausible deniability. He could easily drop off a hard drive or USB stick somewhere for someone else to pick up. It's more suspicious if he leaves his family and goes off by himself.

I'm not suggesting this was actually happening, but I do believe that what is being reported in the media may not be the truth.

I also think something strange is going on, but I find it difficult to accept that a father would put his family in jeopardy like that.

Spies, whilsteblowers, terrorists or what ever you want to call them, all know that their lives are in danger because of what they do.

Gun experts now claiming the weapon most likely used was a Skorpion machine pistol

Not really the sort of gun associated with professional hit-men / assassins ?!?!
More of a gangster/drug gangs kinda weapon, perhaps he had ripped off/double crossed some drug dealers/gangsters and this was payback?!?!

What ever the reason the police need to get their fingers out and catch whoever is responsible, they are seriously messed up and a massive danger to society!

It's the same calibre as the Walther PPK...OMG! James, what have you done?:eek:

well "gangsters" and special forces...

Or another way it's a cheap widely spread gun that's easy to conceal easy to suppress and easy to make untraceable.

lol! Yes, not very well phrased. What I meant, was, either some pros, or some opportunists... clearly was having a brain fart...

I think the point you were making is that not all professional killers are Carlos the Jackal or particularly well trained....the majority of them are simply contracted thugs who kill for money, professionalism is hardly in their remit.

I would agree, i would imagine a professional killer would not even make the news.

Unless the whole point was that of course.

If you want a clean kill come to me I'll whack 200 units of insulin into them with a microneedle that no one will detect. But most "professional killers" are nothing more than people with military training and dodgy morals - these are the type of people that wouldn't even get employed by Academi. The aren't Victor nettoyeur.

Thank you.

I was having a very long and tough day yesterday. :o

would be an interesting twist, the cyclist was the target and the family were unfortunate witnesses.

The cyclist worked as a metallurgist in the nuclear power industry (google it) - it seems odd the media haven't mentioned much about this and have focused on the family

The guy on a pushbike, compared to the guy with the car?

Did it not say the guy with the car was outside the car and the jumped in and tried to drive away. Now the cyclist could have sped away maybe down some dirt track or whatever. Pure speculation as you don't now the scene.

It's dense undergrowth either side of the road and fairly steep, so it's unlikely someone would take a bike off the road there. It would be amateurish to take out a cyclist first and allow the target to actually get to his car and drive off before shooting him. A huge risk too take.
