It's a slow day here on GD, I have lots of work to avoid and November is just around the corner so my thoughts have turned to Christmas. Not only that, but next week I have some shopping time allotted so that I can start scooping up the family's gifts early in order to beat the crowds and feel slightly smug.

My list is boringly practical in most cases:
  • One of those huge mouse mats from OcUK.
  • A Tanfoglio Witness to keep under my pillow.
  • Some rugged boots for winter.
  • Wellies.
  • Aftershave for the year (no idea what, yet).
  • A terrible Christmas jumper.
  • Bioshock Rapture.
  • The Sopranos cookbook (I love Italian food and the characters discuss their food constantly).

I'm struggling for what to get some people, though, so please post your own wantings!

I've had my eye on a Corsair K90 for a while but there are other computer things that need my money more. It'd be nice if someone else would buy it for me (ah, the age old conundrum. How do you drop hints about a gift you really want that no one would ever think of getting you?). Other than that, I just want the usual, a nice bottle of whisky I haven't had yet and a new pair of slippers.

  • Aftershave
  • Boots
  • Graphic novels
  • One piece waterproof suit for riding in
  • Belt and cool looking buckle
  • Bottle of whisky would be good
[edit] and a new bag for biking, mine has a broken zip!

As I'll most likely be unemployed, Christmas is cancelled for me this year. I'll not be able to buy presents so don't expect to receive any even though my family will still get me some.

I'll probably just be a boring old sod and ask for money. Failing that I'm not really sure. If I want something I usually have the funds to buy it myself which is what I usually do as waiting 'till Christmas to get it is a pain :p.

We don't celebrate Christmas because it's a religious event and we're atheists. I'll be at work probably.

So, you don't do anything at all on the 25th... no big roast dinner, no presents, nothing?

I'm not religious but I love Christmas. I'm not celebrating anything other than getting to see my family and have bloody good meal.
