Talk Talk Fibre Broadband?

Hi all,

A quick question for those of you in the know.

My dad currently has a package with Talk Talk. Internet is 7mb, international phone package, etc.

For another £7 a month we can get 40mbit fibre - which sounds like a good deal.

Is Talk Talk recommended for fibre or is it a no-go? Anyone know if they have download caps? I've looked at their website and found it a bit confusing (pretty poor really).

We went with TalkTalk for normal broadband, cancelled within the cooling off period.

I'd look for a better provider personally. Just go with BT/Sky/one of the bigger/popular ones.

TT will be fine for browsing, streaming, etc.

customer service is very poor if you get a fault.

I'm on the unlimited fibre package . No complaints about the price I'm paying £13 for a 40mb unlimited connectiom. Customer support is beyond abysml , although if you get through to uk customer support its actually very good , but usually you get the terrible Indian customer support who are very rude

I've been on talktalk fibre for several months with no issues (so far)
I signed up to the talktalkmembers forum as they seem to give more help than phone support,though i do agree with stoke1863- if you get through to a uk center the customer service is a lot better.

The talk talk website is awful. You can't tell and even reading the small print i'm not sure.

I'm finding this with a lot of the companies - they are even hiding things such as the actual speed!! You have to read the small print to see 'up to 40Mb'.

I think talk talk is limited to 40GB a month, which is a bit pointless.

Anyway, decided to probably go with Virgin 60Mb + talk unlimited for about 37GBP p/m

you can pay a bit more and get an ulimited package. Think its called the Plus package

About 3 months ago they offered all new customers the unlimited package for no extra costs , Thats what i have got
