Hi all,

I've been closely looking at laptops under a £400 budget that can play World of Warcraft at good settings without sacrificing FPS too much. I have narrowed the searching down to these two mobile GPU's but I'm not too sure which one is better (getting mixed stories online). The GT630M is the one featured in the Acer Aspire 5755G which is one I like and the 7670M is featured in the Aspire 5560G which I have also been looking at.

Thanks - Liam

GT 630M.

HD 7670M.

The 7670M is more powerful on paper, however if the GT 630M is backed up with an intel chip l would head in that direction.

Regards.

Thanks, I was sort of hoping that the GT630M would get the recommendation because it works with the Intel CPU, where as the ATI one is AMD and I have not owned an AMD based computer/laptop in years so I'm a bit out of touch with them.

Ok I think I'm set on ordering the Acer Aspire 5755G (i5-2450M 2.5Ghz, 500GB, 8GB DDR3, GT630M 1GB) but I have also now found an Acer Aspire V3-571G which is as far as I can tell identical in spec as the 5755G, but to me the V3 looks smarter.

Could anyone shed some light in to which one is newer and is one of them is more durable than the other? I can't post direct links to the laptops as they are on competitor sites.

Thanks - Liam

Google some reviews, there are plenty around going into detail about construction etc and they will answer your questions. :)

Just to update that I decided to go for the Acer Aspire V3-571G in the end :) Even though the V3-571G & the 5755G were exactly the same in spec (well, as far as I could tell) the V3 is a newer model.

:)

The next job possibly on the cards in the near future is to replace the standard HDD in the laptop with an SSD, are Crucial & Samsung SSD's still the highly recommended ones to go for at the moment?

Thanks - Liam
