Whats the best sites that you generally recieve the game a day early, sometimes two or are most sites like this nowadays. Id like the game on the actual launch day but a day early would be nicer :)

i dont preorder too many games but when i do shopto are always my store of choice due to the high quality service and they have always got games to me the day before release.

For me it's amazon always on release, sometimes before and sometimes waaaaaaaaay before.

like GTA4 i had that almost 2 weeks before ship date.

Last couple I have had from Shopto have got to me on the sat after release. Game usually get stuff to me the day before release.

Amazon for me also, never had a game come late, but never early either. Very reliable (Hope i'm not tempting fate by saying that), not the cheapest though.

Amazon failed to even send me a limited edition item once and then just cancelled my order after every where had sold out, so I don't trust them any more.

Shopto used to be the best for the price and getting games early. Now their prices aren't that cheap anymore.
I just shop around if I want something. There are loads of good sites - Simply Games,GameStop,Bee,Zavvi,TheHut.
I generally see which of them is the cheapest. I've ordered from all those sites and all my pre-orders have come early from them. I got my copy of Gears 3,4 days early from GameStop :D

I'd say GAME.

I strongly disagree with this, they're so unreliable and their customer service is some of the worst I have ever seen. I've had a lot of games arrive 2 or 3 days late from them, 1 game never arrived at all and it took me 3 months to eventually get a refund. Although I will say the people who run their twitter page do seem as if they want to help people, they sent me Darksiders II 3 days late so they gave me a free digital comic for the trouble. It's not much but it was definitely a nice gesture. As for where is best, I'd have to say Shopto they have yet to let me down.

I think it can vary a bit depending on where you live really.

The hut got me Fifa 13 to my door the day before release and every other pre order has at least got to me on the day. Tescos got me Gears 3 the weekend before the Tuesday release and again every other pre order at least on the day.

I guess I'm lucky but I generally go for the cheapest and they all seem to get it to me on the day. I dont use Game or shopto for pre orders because theyre never cheapest.

Shopto. Amazon have let me down to many times dispatching the afternoon before release then thwarted royal snail take their sweet time after.

For those getting their Amazon pre-orders early are you using free or paid for (1st class) delivery options?

I used to use GAME for everything for years up until the ME3 debacle, and have not returned since. Prior to administration they only let me down once. Only problem is they are still the best at securing exclusive UK Limited or Collectors Editions (i.e. Forza Horizon, Bioshock Infinite etc.).

Both.

if you choose free though, it wont ALWAYS get to you early or even on release.

just got to get lucky.

Shopto have always got the game to me the day before release, except for once when I didn't get it until after the weekend of release.

Personally though, I've started to find Shopto have gone a bit downhill, seems they've gotten a bit too big for their boots.

It all stems back to the GAME crisis at the start of the year which gave ShopTo an edge because a number of the publishers assigned pre-order bonuses and said to go there instead, which led to a huge influx of new custom. They also hired a number of GAME head office staff and I'm not necessarily sure that is such a good thing!

Personally what I no longer like about them is:

- They used to be excellent on prices, but not anymore.
- They seem to have turned into HMV/Play, as they have started selling Films, Music and Gadgets.
- Not keen on the recent changes to the website, you used to click on a game you wanted to buy and were able to see all you needed to know about it. Now though, just to see some more info, you have to click through videos that pop up on the page. What I find really annoying about this is its not even a trailer for the game, you have to sit through an advert for something completely different! I actually left them a feedback complaint about that, as I think its pretty ridiculous when you want to buy something that they are putting another video up advertising something else.
- They've also implemented a new support ticket system which I found to be rubbish when I used it, and they no longer except e-mails to their general support address. They didn't even have a phone number up a few weeks ago, but I just looked and there is one now.... perhaps they moved offices or something given all the changes?

Anyways rant over.... I'm just trying to say that I always shopped with them, but now they are just giving me so many reasons not to and I'm looking elsewhere.

I have just used shopto excellent service from them they even give you a picture of the actual package which i have never seen before

Should be with me tomorrow fingers crossed FORZA H :D
