worst company ever :mad:

anyone used their saturday delivery service (aka monday delivery) before ? Do they ever deliver after 12pm ? parcel was due to be delivered between 7am-12pm according to their website but unsurprisingly its not turned up yet, is it worth me still staying in on the off chance of it turning up ?

such a waste of a saturday :rolleyes:
 
Nah doubt it.

We use City Link at work and the Saturday is never Guaranteed. (Even though they say it is)

Also 100% of Saturday deliveries are timed as before 12 by City Link as they want to get off early.

how are they still in business exactly ? they have an average rating of 1 out of 5 from thousands of reviews online and yet companies still use them ?

they are utterly hopeless
 
Well yeah obviously I'll get a refund but doesn't change the fact they have wasted my entire day (yet again...)

If I had known that Saturday delivery = city link I wouldn't have used the company i ordered from.
 
Apparently Rentokil Initial (the parent company) are trying to get rid of City Link by either shutting it down or selling it off because it is dragging their business down.

oh my god they are such a bunch of fail monkeys its unbelievable.

checked tracking today and they have faked in some details about how they tried to deliver but no one was in, absolute bold faced lies.

phoned them up, had some massive rant at some poor woman and was told my parcel has been lost in transit and they can't track it at the moment and that HOPEFULY it might turn up later this week.

unbelievable, truly the worst courier service ever. sooner they go bust the better.
 
Never had a problem with them to be honest. But my area depot is miles away, so that can be annoying if i need to pick up.

Every delivery company has it's issues. It depends where and who the delivery guy is.
 
I think people on here are a bit harsh. All the consignment companies are going to have dodgy drivers and poor service on occasion. I don't see how Citylink are any worse than the others, then again I've not once in the 10-15 years I've ordered stuff online had any problems whatsoever with any of the consignment companies (as far as I can remember).

They were losing money hand over fist when I was there in 2008.

The theft and miss routing problems I got asked to sort out at their Ilkeston branch was unbelievable.

The Ilkeston branch that was supposed to amalgamated with the much more modern target depot in 2008, but is unsurprising still there.

They had the office out in a big leaky portacabin that used to regularly fuse the electrics rendering the office useless for hours at a time.

The depot manager was a right fat useless ****** as well, didn't turn up till 10am and was off by 3 most days.
