No idea, I don't know much about the lore of the comic, but from what I've read about the film so far and the reviews of the trailer, it's Iron Patriot/War Machine

Incorrect it's the Mark 8/47 in that scene, I suspect that scene is a consequence of the telepathic bond Stark creates with the new armour.....

There is no Iron Patriot either what you see in the trailer is just a new paint job for the War Machine armour

The Iron Patriot looking suit is War Machine which has already been said, but if you look closely on one of the HD stills thats floating about you can see Rhodey's name and rank written on the chest.

Watched the trailer on imdb, this looks far better than the first or second one. Bad guy has a proper dark side about him. There are no heros, ect.

Whats the significance of the new war machine armor i wonder and all the old armor blowing up?

My friend was saying who has read a lot of the comics that after the avengers stuff starts a lot of the space stuff from Thor gets brought in.. i had it in my head that thor 2 was the next film but its saying august 2013 on imdb so i guess im3 will be first.
