Why bother buying fireworks when you can see other peoples for free? Complete waste if money imo.

There are 3 or 4 houses within viewing distance from me that usually fire off a load of fireworks, so I'll just go outside onto my decking, take a seat, and watch other people fire money into the sky
One day everyone will think like this, then we'll all just spend 5th November looking up at the sky and shivering in the cold waiting for something to happen.
Then it won't. Then we'll all be sorry. Then get drunk.

Surely Bonfire night is just like any other night in Easterhouse? Explosions, fires, and terrified pets are the norm there.
Exactly this. Maybe some of us should jump into threads about Eyfinity and SLI gfx cards taking the mick about them being a waste of money for silly games or pop into Motors and laugh at upgrades or even choosing a nice car that in essence just gets you from A-B like any other

The difference is that both the card & car will last for days/months/years but your fireworks will last seconds.
Not really the same but you could have used alcohol, drugs and cigarettes.
1/2 that, so excellent value compared to most large cakes
But you don't need any of them, or many of the things we all purchase and post about on her in the 'Pics of things bought each month thread'. But yes, alcohol, cigarettes, holidays etc are a better comparison.
It's a hobby and a great night and I can happily afford it, so that's all that matters

^^i saw the governor over at Raj's demo night a few weeks ago.. nice, wish i had the space. we'l mainly be getting rockets and lanterns this year but il be getting a nice cake for new years
