Damn but I hate fireworks, smelly, noisy, dangerous and they wake my kids up. About time we banned them from being sold to average Joe. Official licensed events only, keep them out of the hands of chavs.

ive always thought of lighting a £20 note on bonfire night as its basically just the same thing but with the added cool factor. pluf if you only burn half and keep the serial then you can take it to the bank for a fresh one

It's more considerate if everyone lets them off in one night, that way people with animals only have to have their pets scared witless for one evening.

Worst case is some dribbling twonk lets them off during the day, the cat runs off and hides and then gets stuck outside all night when it all kicks off.
Seems to affect dogs the most for some reason.

I thought that was a joke but I've just checked teh bank of england website and printed off a a claim form

My stepson has had half of a twenty pound note on his shelf for about a year which he found at work (in a club)

I picked mine up from Raj at Newsbox on Monday. He looked after me as always. The Total Devastation rockets look huge and I can't wait to fire my finale with an Angels vs Demons mixed in. My favourite firework.

People are missing the point. We set off fireworks to celebrate foiling an assassination plot on our country's king. It's a patriotic event that ought to be celebrated. You can't start putting a price on it and saying ' I don't understand why folk do it, it's burning money'

If you break down anything in to the component of its parts it becomes illogical. Going on a forum to discuss is just pressing buttons on a keyboard and waiting.....see!

Get yourself to a bonfire or set some off yourself and celebrate Great Britain!
