Has anyone got any experience in selling their paintball marker?

The bay place will not allow it to be listed - I know I could sell each part individually on there but tbh that is a right chew on.

I want to avoid the chewy plant place too as it doesnt tend to yield much success.

Only issue I have with forums is that part of what I am selling is an air canister and it is not "in-test" and the ones I have found have a rule where it needs to be :/

Google fails me looking for them - Always end up with american ones and just loads of adverts and sites for paintball venues!

I found a classifieds site that has other markers on, so giving that a go first.

DB, they are not guns, they are markers :p
It is because they "mark" targets with paint.

Because that's what they are. They were invented for marking trees which are to be cut down by loggers.

It was only discovered later that it's fun to shoot each other with them.:)

Right, that makes sense.

They are guns, they fit the definition of a gun perfectly.

Well there isn't a legal definition of "gun". There's a legal defintion of "firearm" but to count under that they've got to fire a solid projectile, which paintball guns don't.

There's also the social aspect of it. Paintballers try and disassociate themelves from "gun culture", so always calling their guns markers is a part of this.

Send your bottle off to HPAC and get it tested then? Only costs about £40, and if your bottle isn't worth more than that then why would anyone buy it from you knowing they'll have to get it tested. It'd be like me selling a chip on here that I'd just de-lidded, but hadn't checked to see if I had broken.

Its a BT-4 Ironhorse. And all the rest of my gear.

Im selling it all as a "pack" so its pointless selling without the canister.

(It is pointless me paying to have it tested - For the price I am selling it all for by the time I have accounted for that it makes it less worthwhile for me. This is already reflected in my asking price).

I'm sure there are plenty of paintballers who don't care about when it was last tested.

Advertise it on a forum without mentioning the testing, and then tell any potential buyers the test is out of date via PM when they contact you. They will probably want it for cheaper, but I expect a lot of them won't care as long as it's working.

So just remove it from the sale if it's essentially a value-neutral item. Is it a steelie or CF? If it's a steelie you may as well just bin it for all it's worth. Or just sell the package without it and throw it in as a freebie post-sale to get around the forum rule?

what is the psi of the bottle?

ballers will care for the test date as organisers and site onwers will check test dates to stop any "explosions" from happening.

P8ntballer is the best place to put it. baught and sold lots of guns and equipment from there.

p8ntballer forum.

sold all my stuff on there and its pretty busy.

not worth selling the tank if its not CF and in test tbh

i miss paintball :(

have to disagree, if the bottle is a .8 ltr 3000psi then yeah its probibly not worth it,

it may be a 4500 in which case a lot of front players love the smaller tanks to get in tighter to the bunkers.
