I have no idea about tablets.

Although I'm into lots of techy stuff, I've shamefully not paid any attention to the tablet market. I now fancy getting one but I have no idea which ones I should be considering. I'm not sure that I'd want an iPad as I'd probably want something a bit more open. I think the 7" screen might be a little too small so I'm thinking the 10" screens are probably about right. I also want one that's reasonably quick - my iPhone 3G takes forever to load things and it frustrates me.

I might have to do some directing for a little am dram group so I was wondering if I might be able to use it as a way to get rid of all the paper you have for that sort of thing. Ideally I'd be able to display the script on the tablet and then maybe have a stylus that I could annotate it with. I've no experience with any of the tablet OSs so I don't know what programs you'd need to do that.

Basically, any advice would be appreciated!

Several of the atom based win8 tablets have digitizers for pen input.

Atoms should be similar performance and price as arm based devices like ipad/android.

If you want to go android, then as has been said, it's pretty much just the Note 10.1, great tablet, and the S-Pen is amazing for writing with.

I've just looked up the Note 10.1 and it looks like a nice tablet. I generally like Samsung products. I'll have a look at the Win8 tablets later on so I can compare them.
