the NHS sex education app, aimed at 13+

Some countries that don't have very high teen birthrates, do not have extensive sex education classes in schools. In SA they taught us to use condoms at a very young age but on the basis of health not as a part of a sexual education program. It was to prevent under-age pregnancies and to prevent aids, which is a big problem there. They didn't sit us all in a room and tell us about homosexuality and ask us to fill out sex multiple choice question airs. I remember when i was 12-13 we had a lecturer speak about aids to the whole top three years of the school and they gave out free condoms and we all made balloons with them and put them over our heads.

You want some perverted pedo teacher telling your children about how it is perfectly natural to be a homosexual and how people should behave in sex and so on?

In my opinion children should be taught the biology of the subject and that is it. It is not the school or some random teachers place to teach children about the social aspects of sex.

Well i don't realy care that much, if i ever have children, which is unlikely, but if i ever did i would not put them in to a state school.

yet you seen to be fine preaching bigotry... i wouldnt want you near my kid.

Which countries?

That is sex education.

For someone who is allegedly libertarian you have remarkably weird views about homosexuality. For someone with no experience of UK education you also have some remarkably weird views about what goes on in PSHE lessons.

So you think your opinion is right despite the fact that the evidence is counter to it? Fair enough, at least we know you are more interested in opinion based politics rather than evidence based.

Well i don't realy care that much, if i ever have children, which is unlikely, but if i ever did i would not put them in to a state school.

I am kind of guessing why it is unlikely that you will ever have children.... :D

Well no, but I'm sure there are some non-perverted, socially well adjusted teachers who could be used to convey this message as well.

realy just parents who don't want to take responsibility for their own kids like to out source the responsibility of parenthood to the government. That way when their 14 year old daughter gets knocked up they can say, "well the government/school should have taught them about sex"

Afraid not. Obviously anybody who tries to educate children on the facts of homosexuality and the fact that it is indeed acceptable is definitely both a pervert and a paedophile and probably a serial rapist or dogger that engages in acts of extreme depravity on weekends, usually involving whipped cream, lace stockings and a thoroughbred whippet.

They probably also don't wash their hands after using the toilet. Filthy deviants!

you have something against 13 year old boys experimenting to find their sexual preference groen ? its perfectly natural trollface.jpg

Or intelligent parents that are happy to use all available resources to help educate their child?

All available evidence (as opposed to Daily Mail frothing at the mouth) says that the better informed children are (especially girls), the older they are before they have sex. But conservatives (and you don't get much more conservative (or Conservative for that matter) than the Telegraph) believe the opposite: that somehow, if children never heard about sex they'd never think about having it. Someone needs to tell them about hormones, and how they work. I also have to wonder whether they simply can't remember what they themselves were like at thirteen, or whether they were just really weird at that age.
