It's called whatever happens, yet it doesn't cover theft. What a misleading title.

How can they get away with that? And is there any way around it?

Individual item insurance usually doesn't cover theft....

Did the police not like the twitter evidence of that lovely bloke from uni?

Nope. Apparently one of them had been twitter fraped or something, and the other one had just heard a rumour about it so posted up. They are now tracking a 3rd guy.

I think the other 2 are lying but what can I do?

The laptop has basically gone, we can't afford another, which leaves Jenny without anything to do her work on, and leaves me without anything to DJ with. All because some people can't get their own so they steal someone else's.

No other forms of insurance to claim of I guess?

I got my SGS3, wallet and watch stolen when I was mugged a couple of months back, so I feel your pain

Nope. I don't know what to do now. And my phone is ****ing up as well.

That won't solve anything unfortunately, we'll probably be arrested.

You're right not to go smashing skulls over this. It can mess up your life for the sake of a little retribution. My only brush with the law was trying to recover something taken from me (while about your age, so moons ago) and frankly it wasn't worth it.

How is this a problem with their 'insurance' ? Notice how I use the quotes. It's not insurance - its an extended warranty.

I mean, it absolutely sucks that you had something stolen but to assume a technical support and repair after sales warranty covers theft is a bit silly.

Would you expect a car warranty to cover you if it got stolen?

Indeed, it is odd to think that.

Do you not have contents insurance, which is what this would fall under?

It isn't sold as a warranty though, it is specifically sold, and referred to as insurance. Never during buying did the people in store refer to it as a warranty.

Doesn't cover theft outside your home.

I'm surprised as students you don't have house insurance. For the sake of £20 for the basics (tend to include laptops) it kind of pays off, and covers things like phones and the such like on a mobile basis...

This.

I am just so angry at the moment. Why can't people just save up and buy their own? They didn't even take the charger.

Odd, they should specifically avoid the term insurance (their training includes this) because it isn't.
