New XBOX Dashboard

Finally got it, very underwhelming I think it's time to get rid of the old boy and stick with my PC. I'm bored of the 360 but still need to play games that have come out on the PS3 over the last 5 years.
 
mine updated about an hour ago and already its locked up twice

great got home and put xbox on and my profile was corrupt, had to download it again
so this update not going so well for me

Well this update seems to be taking an age! I set it off at 22:00 and its still going =\

Ohwell, Hopefully its worth it. Maybe more sites will try and be compatible if its so limited.
 
Thank god the old one is gone. I haven't minded the other updates but the last one was awful.
 
I got the update yesterday morning which just seems to have increased the number of adverts and made it slower for me to open a downloaded games. Apart from that basically the same poorly laid out dash as before.
 
Dont like it but then i feel every dash since the blades has been terrible and i think the whole design of them sucks.

Too much going on, Ads every were,Just looks messy. Id love something similiar like XMB on 360 tbh thats simple nothing is in your face and its nice and sleek.

That or 360 just goes back to blades!!

the last beta dash is the final, the beta tab will disappear if it hasnt already.

the only thing you need to do is delete Internet Explorer and download it again if you want the final version of that. well thats what it said on the beta forums.

I find it a fairly useless feature myself, the "Recently Used" thing loads quicker so I can't see a reason sit there and wait for the Pins screen to load.

Ridiculous that after so many updates, they still haven't made the interface faster to navigate or more responsive.
 
What the hell have they done to the XBOX dash?

Each year they update it, it gets worse, slower and harder to find things. I've had the new dash for all of about 15 minutes and it's already locked up my xbox!

They keep adding 'features' that you can only access if you pay for gold, wouldn't be so bad but these features are totally free on the PS3.

I'm tempted to sell up, never use the thing any more anyway. :(

Last played on my XBOX on the 25/07, thought I'd turn it on and update it before I get Halo 4 in a few weeks. The new update caused it to lock up as I was browsing through the new, advert packed, dashboard.

I'd echo earlier sentiments in this thread, that the original 'blades' were much easier and quicker to use. As soon as they started pandering to motion control devices and adding wii style avatars the whole experience has gone downhill.

You can't use even use the browser without having a Gold subscription, what a joke! :D
