Windows 8 who's buying/upgrading

I decided to do a fresh install instead of continuing to use Windows 8 from my Windows 7 upgrade.

I booted from the Windows 8 CD I created, entered the product key and it allowed me to format my SSD and install Windows 8 from fresh. Boots a lot more quicker now:)

I'm just getting:

The new Windows...coming soon

A new era of PCs built for Windows 8 and Windows RT will be available shortly. You'll be able to buy and download Windows 8 Pro, or get the software package at online retailers and in stores.

If you can't wait to find your next PC, check out our Tablet and PC buying guide.

Come back soon—we can't wait either!

Still no option to buy the upgrade and download it.

I have the same problem

Anyone know if Microsoft is planning on updating Windows 8/RT/Phone 8 every year now to keep pace with iOS/Android on the tablets and phones?

I've never tried the Consumer Preview of Windows 8 but I've just ordered and currently downloading Windows 8 Pro.

I'll do a fresh install of everything at the weekend.

I'm really up the left now.
After reinstalling w7 then upgrading to w8, checked a few things and it all loaded up fine.
Went and did a restart and now I get windows boot manager saying some fatal code and it will not load up again now. Have now disconnected everything just the os ssd and that's it. I feel sick, should never have bothered.

It asks you to download upgrade assistant; then it upgrades what you are running, x86 or x64

Edit: reply to banger9365

From Microsoft Q&A, Can I upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit

Yes, but you can't do this using Upgrade Assistant. If your PC has a 64-bit capable processor (CPU) but is currently running a 32-bit version of Windows, you can install a 64-bit version of Windows 8, but you'll need to buy Windows 8 as a DVD.

You also won't be able to keep any files, settings, or apps when you upgrade from a 32-bit to a 64-bit version.

What's the code

I've just passed it again after seeing if I could repair it, no such luck.
It actually goes into windows boot manager, and and it's like OxOOOO something
Gives the usual about software or hardware changes have stopped it working but I can't under mstand how, I was sitting there using it all fine and dandy.

For those running SSD's make sure NOT to disable the disk optimisation service, this sends trim commands which helps with cleaning up unused cells.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's only gone and installed Windows 8 32-bit version from within my Vista Business 32-bit. That's a crock of ****!

Are there two different ISO images for 32-bit and 64-bit versions or is it all contained in the 2.01GB download?
