Poll: Bond... James Bond

For me definitely a toss up between Roger Moore and Brosnan, both of whom when i imagine Bond would fit the bill perfectly.

As for Dalton?? lol just lol, one of the worst Bonds i have ever had the misfortune of watching.

Daniel Craig for me. Think he is perfect as Bond.

Connery/Brosnan in 2nd completely different Bonds, but both great.

Roger Moore for me, I guess it's not an entirely fair comparison because you can only judge them based on the different films they made but I'd choose him in his prime if to star in any new Bond films (if it was possible ).

I like Roger Moore but always get odd looks for saying it. He's suave and smarmy, to me he's a great Bond, but then I haven't ready any of the books.

Dalton and Craig are the best for me, they seem a bit darker and grittier rather than slapstick.

On look alone, Connery and Dalton have the proper suave with a hint of tough look to them. Moore was a bit too old to really have the same affect, Brosnan was a bit too suave. Craig is like an over-pumped thug without a suave bone in his body (I'm surprised they didn't stick him in a hoodie and sweatpants).

For the menace of the books, probably Dalton with Craig a near second place.

The biggest problem with being able to compare recent Bonds to the old ones is the fact they ran out of proper books about 7-8 films ago, so poor writing has killed the story and the feel of the actor.

Brosnan was in my favourite bond film ever and looks the part.

And I really liked both Dalton films a lot.

I'd say Sean Connery had the right personality, Pierce Brosnan had the right look - both made excellent Bonds (with Sean being the best).

But... Moore was excellent in his own way, as was Dalton who I think is highly under-rated ("Licence to kill" being my favourite bond film).

Craig just doesn't cut it for me.

i just think the Brosnan films were great mostly. Great balance of seriousness/sillyness and Brosnan is just so believable as Bond. Great charisma,charm and suaveness.

i dont like these new gritty, pouty serious Bonds with Craig in them. they just seem to sort of get lost in what could be any other action film.

I liked Dalton.

Wasnt a huge fan of Sean or Roger.
