Managed to get a fairly nice deal on a Macbook pro after my local Apple store did me a massive favour.

Basicly back in September I got an iPad for Uni thinking it would be fine to take notes on, then go back home and do any more significant tasks on my home PC.

Turned out to be a lot more fuss than it was worth to use. Multitasking was just horrible, a lot of the lecture halls didn't have little desks to prop it up on and If I ever did have a short day and wanted to stay in the library to do some work I was pretty stuck. After 40 days of owning it I went into the Apple store to see what they could do seeing as their return policy is 14 days.

The bloke there was real nice about it and let me get a full refund of store credit. Seeing as I now had £400 to spend in the Apple store and was now in search of a laptop I decided to get my first mac. Picked up the 13" 2.9Ghz i7 model for £675 with the money from the iPad.

So far liking it a lot which is surprising as I told my self since I was little I would never buy a Mac XD.

(p.s. Sorry for crappy phone quality)

Its premier seating so you get a massive plate of Doritos and a salsa dip. Also a chocolate chip muffin and a small box of celebrations and a small drink that's each.

I only normally go premier with the Mrs but seeing as it was Skyfall prem were going as a big group so the whole of premier seating is taken up plus beat the ques! :)

I used to get premier seating for £5 every time me and the mates went. Always good to know someone who works there.

ipad is absolutely fine to use for lecture notes, I use it everyday, the 4 finger swiper left or right lets you quickly switch to open apps, I guess you never found that

I did find that. Just opening safari to download presentations then going back to evernote to take notes over and over again became a pain. Say I wanted to look back to a previous slide cause I missed something I would end up getting even more behind switching from App to App. And also like said I wanted something that I didn't have to prop up as some of the lecture halls don't have tables. Personal preference I guess but I have had this for a few days and loving it a lot. I'm not saying the iPad is a bad choice it just wasn't for me.
