Forza Horizon?

Picked up a copy from Sainsburys so I should be on this tonight. I enjoyed the demo so I'm sure the full game will be decent although I've never enjoyed Forza in general as I found it boring.

Rather enjoying it so far, it's a bit NFS-ish at times though, and I'm disappointed that so much of the game is monetised; you can basically buy your way through the whole thing with MS Points rather than progressing like a normal person, if you so desired. I really dislike that gaming is going in this direction.

yup! its not even hard to progress! specially the "popularity" im 1st and i've only had 3-4 hrs play :eek:

I do love the PGR elements that are built in subtlely but also in total PGR 4 condition, just works so well, a nice combo of Forza physics, PGR & TDU gameplay with NFS style story!

still getting NFS Most Wanted next week, but this is very good :)
 
Lovely looking game, and plays really well but it's not brought anything really new to what these kind of games already did.
 
Been playing this for a few hrs today, got it yesterday but was too tired to get on it.

Have to say its quite different from the previous forza's, in fact its very TDU-esque in that its a free world.

As someone said its similar to NFS in the handling dept but its given me plenty of fun so far.

Not really sure i would say its the best Forza out but its certainly different.

Its not made by T10 in first place
They never tried to make it another Forza - its spin off,no need to threat this game as another Forza,because its not,its just name and have features from Forza,thats it,Playground and T10 stated that it wont be another Forza (name Horizon also suggests it)
People making mistake comparing it to original Forza
As for handling - switch off all assists,there is nothing about NFS,no even point to compare - since when NFS have nearly sim physics? since when NFS have physics at all (Porsche 2000 exept)?

:D sorry,but have to laugh - if MW will be at least half game this is,it will be big achievement for EA - NFS gone so much downhill,im not even bother trying demo's anymore

and what can you do new in racing games? its not RPG,no FPS - its racing,thats all matter in such games,and Playground did brilliant job - other similar games failed,Playgorund did homework and here is the result - arcade game with nearly identical Forza 4 physics - what can yo ask more? i was very sceptical at first,but when i tried demo i liked it,and full game is just perfect,lots of people not lying when saying this game is brilliant

One, and only one major gripe so far, replay cameras are from Forza 2/3, so glued on a stick 5m from your car at all times :(

Would be amazing panning driveby camera potential with this world!

This is one year I have total faith in EA/NFS, MW is made by Criterion, so that means Burnout Paradise with real world cars, and on that, I'm SOLD! Burnout Paradise was amazing fun, the multiplayer challenges alone MADE the game! :)

Agreed, I think it's gonna be an amazing game with Criterion behind it :)
 
you mean ea behind it ;) criterion only does the work! remember shift2? same studio that made "CARS" :) ea loves to make the games poop, theres nothing criterion can do! sure it will have some burnout feel to it. Some will like it others won't, ill give it a go tho and see what is what! but looking at the videos - driving physics suck big time.

yup, but EA tell Criterion what to do, what to leave and what to take away :) thats all im saying! :) btw i can't find an option to take a picture in free roam? :eek:
