Built below spec computer last night with no major issues. Installed windows 7 and then switched off for the night.

I3570k and z77x d3h
Hd7950
8gb ram
Corsair tx550m

Got up this morning switched on fine, connected to internet and downloaded 3D mark 11 and ran test. All was fine. Downloaded steam and then shut computer down. Windows said there was 90 updates and away it started. Watched it for a while and then popped downstairs when it was on about 35/90.

When I came back up computer was off so assumed all has gone fine. When I went to switch it back on. No response. No noises or beeps it's almost as if it's unplugged.

I have ran through the steps in the sticky above but cant seem to get anywhere. Anyone have any ideas what might be up.

Thanks

I have tried resettingthe bios and have made sure all connections are fine.

I don't have another PSU in the house but there is one at my work that I could go and get if needed.

I would, just to rule out the Psu, being the fault. May save you a lot of unnecessary diagnostics.

If the psu has not gone and is just overloaded you could just unplug everything not necessary on the board including removing 3 sticks of ram and gfx card to see if it will turn on.

I think there is a general issue with the TX 550M. Look at the amount of people on google who have had theirs for a few hours and then it goes faulty.

Yeah just googled it and notice a few poor reviews saying it's failed straight away. Doesn't fill me with confidence if I was to get it replaced. Might just ask for money back and get a different one.
