New aquisition....

I believe it is as simple as the inlet manifold being different and the rev limiter on the 330i is 600rpm higher. With this in mind, the N53 must have designed as a ~270bhp engine which has been choked down to 218bhp by fitting a restrictive manifold and lowering the rev limit.

The 1 Series Coupe has the N52 not the N53. The N53 was never offered - presumably as the 1 Coupe was also sold predominately in the US market where the N53 is incompatible with the fuel type sold.

Same principle though I'd imagine.

Seriously, if you judge a persons sexuality just by the car they drive then you have a problem ! Why do blokes have to be driving the biggest, best and loudest thing on the road to be classed as being straight ? I couldnt care less if people think its a 'gay' car because thats there opinion (albeit ill thought out)

Very jealous. Stunning car.

Any reason why you didn't go for the M Sport version?

I wanted a 123d M Sport but heard the ride is terrible.

You were the one who quite emphatically told us that there was 'nothing hetro' about the car - I was just saying fair play, if that's what you like. Just seemed a bit odd to randomly announce how gay your car is that's all.

Woops ! I seem to have misread haha .... discount the previous comments :S

Feel a bit silly now hahaha

I have to brush off 'gay' comments about my car a lot. I usually reply with 'How powerful is yours?' or 'Whats the 0-60 of yours?', or even 'Where's your car then?'. I remember wanting a ford puma when I passed, uber gay apparently. Yet they handled well and the 1.7 engine was fun.

Back on topic! I bet this car sounds great. Does it have one of those exhaust valves for noise reduction? If so, take the fuse out and leave it open 24/7 :)

Lies! Full specced would indicate Xenons though surely? So it is not full specced!

People seem to think everything with climate control and electric windows is 'big spec' these days, I don't think people realise quite how good the standard spec is.
