BitFenix Ghost for Reviews!

From the TV series Kung Fu" with David Caradine as a young Shaolin monk in American wild west. As a child the old Shaolin master who is teaching him often refers to him as Grasshopper. In the series first episoode it was used while telling his life story, and was referenced to many times in his flashbacks in later episodes. ;)

Well I also received my case today and to reflect on Bacons comments I understand what he was saying regarding the door - but I think we have to take into consideration here the door is probably the part most likely to get damaged and needing to be replaced where it sits at the front might be likely to get knocked by feet, hit by kids with toys or snapped off accidentally so it might be deliberately made so its cheaper to produce and sell to replace, but I guess we'd have to ask spares prices to find out.

Although saying how the door feels cheap, it certainly doesn't give that appearance, which IMO is the most important thing.

Everything with this case seems to push in, push out, I would be concerned that these hinges and clips not only could wear out over time, but be pushed by children (I have 2) for them to stick their fingers in fans etc (obviously I don't let my children mess about with the PC, but I'm mentioning this to cover all eventualities)

The case looks a lot more attractive than my HAF-x with a nice padding inside the doors which is the sound deadening. My Sli GTX 480's produce a lot of heat and this will be a good test for its cooling capabilities.

One thing I will add is that the case only comes with 2 fans - I will be pretty keen some more fans to this system, because even though its a silent rig, even with maximum fans on full blow will probably be quieter than my HAF-x

More to follow as and when discovered...

They are coming hopefully this weekend but been very busy and also awaiting fans to turn up to add to the case as it only comes with two as standard.

I use my PC every day and work 9-5 with 2 kids running around so times get very busy here ;)

Review is coming along nicely. Just done a Tony Logan type thing of doing the entire case from front to top, then back etc.

Now putting my rig in it and see how well the case holds up.

was looking at these last week when i was doing a random build with parts i had laying around.

ended up going with the white and blue shinobi usb3. probibly the price that swayed me when you look at the shinobi at £44 and then this at £75. but even on looks of the 2 cases the shinobi wins.

dunno, mayby its just the preicing that i dont understand.

Cases do take a fair amount of time to review. I took 3-4 full days to review the Raider case and can imagine that this would take just as long if not longer considering all the features of the case.

As long as it doesn't end up like that other bitfenix giveaway where an incredibly lazy & selfish person known as Shashman still hasn't done his review after 3+ months

I have one question, how do I know which way round the fans go :D
Literally I am stuck trying to work out if they are working as intakes or exhausts.

No I know which fans positions should be used as intakes etc. I was having difficult determining if the was was working as an exhaust or if it was back to front.

2 fans are pre installed, if the rear is facing the same way as the front them all should be fine, if you're worried take a pic and upload
