So Mr Men it must be scripted to play games like real life then? It's still some sort of scripting. If there was a real reason for my players not jumping for a header or them moving out the way for a striker then I could start to accept there is no scripting but when I'm pushing to sprint and he just jogs or pushing to jump and he doesn't then I find it hard to accept there is no scripting.
I don't see any of those problems, push to jump? I don't even have a button for that, if my player does not jump then it's probably because he is in no realistic position to actually jump. I am sure there is all sorts of fancy calculations going on for every moment of the game and not every player can win every ball, or win every header, or the game would simply be broken.
Well my player can be in the perfect position to header the ball with no pressure and he won't always jump. It's not something that happens all the time but it's something that shouldn't happen at all unless he is under pressure or has no chance to get close to the ball. Surely you've all seen it when you've put an over top through in and the defender will stop or slow down so the attacker can go through? I've seen it loads of times.

Yep. I can push it the same as when I've won headers and they still won't jump. But like Mr Men said people in real life dominate and lose so that shows if they've made it like that then it is scripted and you've been chosen to win or lose.
I can dominate matches, plenty of shots and not score and they run up the pitch and score with 1 attempt, that's really not scripting. There is no way the game chooses who is going to win, is it scripted when you are 3-0 up, they change tactics and formation and turn it around, or is it because you failed to react to what was happening?
Meh, if that's the crutch you need to blame rather than yourself to keep yourself sane then keep on doing it....

It's definitely all a case of "mad cause bad". We've put it straight to the developers and they've come back crystal clear confirming that there is none of the "scripting" that people complain about in the game.
Being good at previous FIFA games doesn't entitle you to be good at the sequels, I was around Top 3 in the country around the time Euro 2008/FIFA 09 were out but I'd consider myself very average at FIFA 13. No scripting, I'm just not very good anymore

Lol yep that's not scripted when one goalie can save anything and one can concede a soft goal. So tell me have you never put an over top through ball in and there defender has slowed down or moved so you can get the ball? Why is it at times I can tackle an attacker and 9 times out of 10 it will drop to him but won't at the other end? Or vice versa. For a game to be like a real football match where stupid things happen surely it has to have some form of scripting?
We can communicate directly with the development team if we need to - we asked it to be clarified as it was making moderating the community forums a nightmare. Maybe revise your shooting strategy? Finesse's are useless compared to how they were in previous games.
I never use finesse anymore as like you say they're are useless, and I'd rather just pass it to goalie then go for an rb shot

If you do have that access can you ask them why a finesse/placed shot (as described in the manual) has been made so inaccurate? Not what I and I guess most people would understand a placed shot should be...
