****Images of Items or Services Purchased in October 2012****

This little item arrived today. I had actually forgotten I ordered it as it was months ago.
Some interesting shots and narrative.
Very complete. Almost too complete as it also includes the horrendous Wood Allen Casino Royale.

It's BIG!
Quick measure says 42cm by 31cm by 5cm deep.
Also weight about 6kg.
I'll get a few 'internal' shots up in a bit.

Got a new Macbook a few days back. Nabbed a Crucial M4 while they are on sale. Only thing is it has arrived before the tork set that is needed to take the screws off the old HDD. So now it's just sitting here :(

None the less it will be awesome once it's in. Only noise from the thing so far has been the HDD spinning.

Small flathead will get those T6 screws off easy, they're not done up very tight.

It's quite pricey as well!

Yeah, I know:p
It was a bit of a gamble given I couldn't see it in advance but it is very good and I'm a big fan.
Given the size it probably is 'worth' the price against other books, but I think I'm simply justifying the purchase there!

Have to have a bit of excess on occassion:D

Why oh dear?

There isnt really much you can do with a softshell to make it any better, its a softshell outer layer with a lightweight fleece inner layer. If its water and wind proof you arent paying for much else, its a lightweight jacket so isnt going to be super warm anyway.

Put it this way, I have a £50 softshell I got from Decathlon and it feels and performs the exact same as my £190 Mountain Hardware one. Warm enough yet not too warm to walk in for long distances, and both are water and wind proof.

Im not knocking your choice, for all I know its some mega jacket as I havent tried it personally. Im just speaking from personal experience with ones ive had in the past that there isnt noticeable differences between a "good" softshell and a supposedly great one.

For a warm jacket I have a canada goose so didn't need it for warmth, the jacket ticks and fits right for a couple of activities I want to do this winter, mostly skiing, snowboarding and has good mobility if I actually manage to go ice climbing.

Also not forgetting that I actually like the fit of this jacket, rather than some of the others around.

If you're happy with it then thats all that matters really :)

Its one of the very few areas in life that I actually have a good level of knowledge in so I guess I just had to say my piece since I rarely get to :p

October is birthday month for me :D Still got nothing at all :( Just money and a jacket. no self present though.

Got FIFA 13 in the very beginning of the month, and dad got me a plant some 2 weeks ago but thats it. Nothing fancy or pic worthy. Wanted to buy a monitor but when i went to buy it it was out of stock, and they are not getting new stock :(
