When it comes to buying a player I want I always ALWAYS check the market to get and idea of the price of a player. Then when bidding set a max I am willing to pay. If the bidding goes over. Sod it, move on to another auction. I mean for most players there are tons of auctions of the same player so why overpay.

I can see mentality changing for say a Messi card or a really rare card. But for the average shiny golds and golds. There is always going to be 30+ more of that player up for auction most likely.

I've even watched bidding wars when I bought my IF Miccoli. I was looking at an auction that went close to 90k :eek: yet if you did a search for him there was BIN IF Miccoli's (in the same formation) for ~70k :p Just to point out I did not pay 90k for him ! It was an auction I was tracking but in the last mins bidding wars happened.

Yes! They added an extra 1k as well

On a positive note I splurged out 15k on packs and got Benzema on 4-2-3-1
Put him up for 69k
 
Tried playing seasons today and more than half of the people I've played are just 5 at the back ****s with pacey strikers. It's so dull. Back to tournies...

Not a team for pace merchants, but if you like pass and move it's incredible. Not felt exposed defensively down the wings yet either, which has surprised me. Only just bought Ramires, had Felipe Melo there prior to him, and it's still a very effective team. Probably under 30k as well :)

Who's the best Bundesliga striker for about 20k? Next addition to replace Abellaoue. Mandzukic is an absolute hero incidentally, 7 goals in 3 so far!

I was looking closely at him actually and went for Abellaoue (sp?!) in the end as his touch is better. Could pick him up so cheaply he might be worth a punt though. I assume that Gomez and friends are way out of my price range...!

Are there any decent Brazilian strikers I'm missing? I've got Welliton and Vagner Love on the bench, and they're both big, strong, and quick, but couldn't finish dinner.

EDIT: Hmm, weird - just looked and Arnautovic has awesome touch. Will definitely give him a go.

Tempted to flog Vagner Love and Welliton, will almost have enough for Reus if I do :)
