Skyrim artifacting 7850

OK ill email them now :(

It must be the card not the game, since the screenshots dont show any artifacting.

When i first put the card in and loaded up it artfacted on the desktop and kept refreshing then it was fine, that made me worry from the start, was blue lines and then yellow lines everywhere. But it stopped so i thought it was fine, but now this ohhhhh so bad now i cant play until i get my new card? I suppose OCUK will replace right away since its in 28 days?

This is gonna cost me postage and everything im NOT happy.

Its the exact same thing, its easier to spot at the start of the clip.

well its no good the way it is,is it everygame or just that game?

other than a new fresh install of windows i cant think whatelse you can do,you still have a few days to play with it and see if you can fix it but dont leave it too long,id allow 14 days from recieving it to get it back to them just incase
 
what motherboard memory you using and current memory speed/timings dram voltage?

EDIT: ive looked at that vid,i dont get anything like that with my card

I just reset my CPU OC and its still doing the same thing :\

If you got same card and yours doesnt do it its defo the card, ive tried everything now.

And no the thing is some games work fine well what i can see, i seen 2x blue lines on divinty before but they never came back, skyrim is constant way worse then that vid i linked i can look at the sky and they are the full screen.
 
Just rebooted my pc and the screen just kept flashing and flashing artifacts on the windows login screen too so its the card for sure when it did it when i first put it in i thought because no drivers but now i know the card is faulty for sure.

Well ill rma tomoz i guess :/
 
Yeah i doubt it can be the games or the drivers during boot up. I booted it before and took a pic of the blue lines ill email customer support later and get an rma sorted.

Im gutted since now i have to waste money on postage for the rma and wait even longer to play again! Im not installing the Nvidia card in the meantime so cant play again :(.
 
Yeah exact same card its a decent card just i got a faulty one. Its playing skyrim at max ultra at 1920x1200 so that is really good for 150. Is parcel monkey insured and fast?
 
Even though it is your card in this instance, I just wanted to add that my 7870 is now having issues with Skyrim as well. It's potentially down to the 12.10 drivers, but I'm not 100% as it's been a few releases since I last played.

Just throwing this in, incase you get your new card and Skyrim is still acting up. I am getting the same issues you describe, sky flickers badly, distant terrain flickers, but it seems to be fine inside. So don't panic if you load up skyrim on the new card and are greeted with artifacts again.
 
Hmm well other people don't have this problem you sure your card is ok? The card keep flashing my screen and blue lines on desktop is defo the card. Ill post back what skyrim does when i get new card.
 
I also seem to be having the same issue with Skyrim since updating to 12.10 on my 7870. Flashing sky, I initially thought I'd messed up myself because I'd been editing a mod in creation kit and accidentally deleted something which I thought might have caused it but after disabling the mod, still had issues with flashing sky.

I'm running at stock speeds too and the card has been fine before.
 
Im not happy with it thats why im ****ed off lol.

Its bang out of order ill try older drivers but the 12.11 are supposed to be great!

Ill install older drivers now.

EDIT - Nah older drivers do the exact same thing :(

I surely cant of gotten 2 dud cards? If i cant fix this ill have to RMA and sqap for an MSI or something :\

I'm using a MSI card and having simlar results. What I get looks a lot like what you're experiencing though perhaps not as severe. I can't be sure as it's been a few days. Other than sky, do you get any other texture issues? Is it like this:

I read a recommendation to roll back the drivers to 12.8. Not had chance to test this out yet as I'm currently in the midst of fitting everything into a new case with a new psu but I'll try it out as soon as I can to see if it's fixed.
 
I used to get flickering/corrupt textures with 2x 6950's. I would have to restart the game to get it working. Have you got any steamworks mods installed?

TBH if every single other game is OK and it's ok in furmark or heaven then I wouldn't bother RMAing the card.
