leaked stuff around the web is saying its coming, i guess they noticed that everyone had a credit card linked to the play store and saw a market, also balance transfer and.... person to person transfer...... which if free could stuff up paypal big time!

I was actually hoping the iPhone 5 would have NFC to force Google's hand.

Agreed, but what I meant was Paypal have been the top dog for a long time now and have eBay behind them. I guess they're tiny compared to Google, so yeah, if they do a good job and are free, it will give Paypal a run for its money quickly.

yeah i know what you mean, the only way they would rival them is to do it fee free. they will make and app (wallet) and incentives to use a google credit card for playstore blah blah

Google suck massively when it comes to anything outside the US and I think this is their downfall. Google Voice is supposed to be great but apparently they don't have a team working on that anymore. I get that it's logistics and everything but if they pushed into other areas at the same time people would actually try it out as they have heard it through the news and other media.

12 months later it gets a silent launch in the UK and discontinued after 3 months.

I love their ideas, but all of their launches are just terrible.
