Assassins Creed 3?

I'll stick with it but boy this feels unpolished at times. The cutscene timing is quite bizarre, just had a 1-2 minute cutscene that ended with 'meet me at the hill', I was then instantly teleported to the hill, took 2 steps then got another cutscene, why even bother giving me control back? I don't quite feel like I'm playing a game as much as watching one because I'm just not drawn in. If it weren't for the comments on here that it picks up then I'd already have put this up for sale!

it really is worth persevering with, I had some serious doubts myself early on, but the game really takes a turn in game play and story once you take over as Connor. not noticed many bugs/glitches in a while also.

Well I'm Connor now but the Hide & Seek thing was rubbish (so far this game reeks of trying to emulate Red Dead Redemption but failing) and I just failed the next sequence because my ally fell out of a tree

Also I know it's realistic but having subtitles rather than having Connor just speak English is irritating me (this is probably because most of the other things in this game have done the same so far).

Another gripe is that the first time you get a new instruction it is generally thrown at you about a second before you need to use it so 50% of the time you don't know what to do until it's too late.

I'm sure I sound like a moaner but this game is really ticking me off so far and this is from someone who really enjoyed the previous games. I'll keep posting in the hope that it's useful for others to see how my mental state varies as I play more :D

Yes, I found that incredibly annoying. Most of the time I'm just stumbling about trying to work out which buttons I should be pressing.

This game is unbelievably buggy. I've only played about 2 hours so far, but I've come across floating guards, floating weapons, cutscenes where people talk but their lips don't move, and one mission where I had to attack 13 guards, and they all just stood there not attacking me.

How this got through testing I don't know.

Is this on the PS3?

Couple of Q's:

* Is the game world free roam?

* When do you get to play as an actual assasin in the white clothing? In the beginning you seem to be running around as some ship captain in a dodgy hat!

Just finished it and I really was expecting a lot more from something that had been in development for years. The game has more bugs than Dead Island ever did, it feels like it was never gameplay tested! The new game engine feels like it wasn't even made for current generation consoles, it's a big disappointment!

Anyone feel this is on par with AC2/Brother's endings? Incredibly short! I was expecting much more of a conclusion...

Mr Sniper, seeing as you say you've finished the game how long would you say the main story is? Currently I can't decide whether to explore and drag it out or just pile head first into it and finish it.

Although I can't say I'm overly enjoying it at the moment, especially when I get warning messages for not skinning every bloody wolf that attacks me  But as I really enjoyed the first two I'm quite interested in seeing where storyline goes.

If you did just story only you could get through it within 12-14 hours I reckon. I've done about 20 hours so far and that includes the whole of boston complete and some naval missions.

On that note, I actually thought the naval missions were some of the best parts of the game!
