AVG Pc Tune up anyone?

Anything that attracts you to it?

Ccleaner and disabling a few startup items in Msconfig is enough really. If you want more, There are free (Arguably better) apps out there.
 
If it's got to the stage where anything like that makes a noticeable improvement these days it's time to upgrade the hardware or do a fresh OS install.

Junk, save the money for improved hardware later on.

I find most performance issues these days are due to faulty registry entries, as UnworthyBean previously mentioned, CCleaner does a pretty good job of this & if you find you still have any problems then updating your drivers & customising the msconfig should sort it out.

Although judging from the spec you have in your sig you shouldn't have any need for any optimisation software.
 
You're probably right mate, its just I like to tinker best I leave well alone then :)
