Bleeding is for when the radiator is cold in one area. Bleeding is to ensure the air is out of the system causing parts not to heat up.

You were right. Water came out because all the air had been pushed out but to be fair I am not so sure if you were meant to turn it until water came out! lol You had to stop it before that happened and bleeding is meant to be done very slow.

Water came out straight away. There was no air.
