Assassins Creed 3?

Maybe, but we will see if its honoured as I've ordered one copy. I have a confirmation email though.

If anyone hasn't bought it yet and isn't sure.

Join or Die Edition on Xbox 360 £31.29

Good find, was about to buy it for £50 odd.

Lets see if they honour the price.

Ordered but said they cant confirm the order lol. Lets see if they confirm it by monday. If not no big deal, ill just cancel and wait for this to drop in price as reading peoples reviews, it doesnt seem all that great with the bugginess of the game.

They've downgraded the animus... the helpful feature from the first (and all others) game has gone! I'm forced to read subtitles, some even aren't visible if they're against a white background. I guess they've done this to immerse us or something, but why change it, it was never broken...

Just finished it and I feel disappointed. Didn't think it was anywhere near as good as 2. a lot of the mission were trail and error and wasn't designed with stealth in mind.

Also, why are the end credit about 30 minutes long and you can't skip them!?! Who even reads them.

Not getting the vibe I was hoping for from what I'm reading...to top it, I pre-ordered the game7 days ago and I'm still awaiting it. Seriously what is the point of pre-ordering? I've never received a game on day of release or earlier than that.

Are there any of those awful tombs in this one. From reading they have taken away the shops etc for money. I used to like upgrading the city like that, I just wish they added some point to it like upgrading your Mansion in AC2.

Quick question - how does this rate to the other ACs? And should I play them all before I get this one?

ps3ud0

This seems to be a bit harder than previous ones.

I'm on a mission where I have to kill a guy on a boat then free a slave. Whenever I kill him (even if there's no one around), I get spotted by someone and I fail the mission. Quite frustrating!

Also encountered a bug where I couldn't fire my weapon. Weird.

Other than that it's pretty good.

Can you get away with not having played AC 1 or 2 & diving straight into this?

You could watch the important story bits on youtube I guess but it's easier to pick up from AC2 and play from there. AC3 is meant to be the conclusion to the current series.

For people new to the series I would recommend just playing AC2 then AC3 and getting the rest of the story from Youtube. I think it's all but certain that anyone trying to start from AC1 (or even just do the Ezio trilogy) will burn out long before ever getting to AC3.

I'll most likely be waiting til this is cheaper, I am tempted by it but I'm also tired of the whole series and AC3 doesn't appear to be the groundbreaking title that we might have hoped for.

Indeed there would be days of gameplay to play catchup with the series, AC Brotherhood is a game well worth playing and giving appropriate time to rather than blasting through.

I'm feeling that, I even loaded up AC BH and then ACR, found BH more fun.

Hopefully they'll release a less buggy version while we're waiting!

I had AC on xbox360,but i didn't complete the game.
I picked up AC2 for 3,60£ on my pc,better than the first one,my only complain about AC2 is difficulty of the game.way to easy combat!!!
after playing demon souls and dark souls, you look for thigter controls and more challenging combat.
there is way to many boxes to open, points to synchronized, and feathers to collect.
Is AC3 combat more difficult?are the enemies smarter?

brotherhood vs revelations which one is better?might purchase one of them before will buy AC3(price should drop by then)
thanks

Combat has progressively been made easier over every game so far. A kill steak of above 15-20 people is not uncommon by the time you get to AC3!

If you only going to buy one then get Brotherhood, it progresses the story a little bit. Revelations was a nice filler if you loved the series but it's not required.

I bought this on the back of liking AC1 and loving AC2, plus most of the reviews seemed utterly glowing.

But to be honest I'm really struggling to keep enthused with it now. I think I'm at the point that everything that can open up has, but I can't honestly be bothered with carrying on.

So far I seem to have had as much cut scenes as I have actual play time, especially annoying is the *cut scene* "you need to go here" *play for 30 sec* *another cut scene*!

I find myself just going on a killing spree just to get some combat action; for a game entitled "Assassins Creed" I've done hardly any assassining!

Very tempted to fire up AC2 again to jump into Ezio's shoes, that guy was far more of an entertaining protagonist.
