I have been a massive aerosmith fan all my life and after 10 long years of waiting for a new album I can confirm that the new album"Music from another dimmension" is epic.

Its not out until the 6th Nov but someone posted it and I grabbed it while I could. If you have it let me know what you think or if your planning on getting it?

Supposedly there on tour in the uk next year also. Cant wait

Tracks I like:

Oh Yeah
Street Jesus
Lover a lot
Freedom Fighter (Is that Perry singing?)

The rest are throwaway.

I can still remember buying my first Aerosmith album in 1973 just for the cover alone.
Happy days.

You are a little too late, not long ago I gave these to another forumite who said he was a massive Aerosmith fan -

Don't think they'll ever best toys.

But that was pre split I'm comparing it against permanent vacation onwards the more modern stuff.

Sounds like they have there hunger back and a point to prove.

Permanent Vacation will be hard to beat, not really a bad track on it and one of the most amazing comeback albums ever (not that they really went away).

I have listened to it twice and it will get many more plays over the next few weeks at work ect.

I hate to hear the word "throwaway" used but each to there own personally theres nothing I dont like from what ive heard with a good few stand out tracks but not many albums have 12 classics on them.

I have all there albums on vinyl in my attic and loads of picture discs and stuff. who was the lucky punter who got your vinyl?

I wasnt born when you were buying there first album im 35 and got in to them around done with mirrors. been a huge fan ever since seen them twice live hoping to see them again a good few times. fingers crossed.

yeah Permanent Vacation followed up by Pump put them back to the top.

Honking on Bobo was just terrible. such an anti climax I thought they were finished

Used to love Aerosmith, I'll be honest, I really like Just Push Play if just for the first minute of Beyond Beautiful and Sunshine. I know that Perry in particular believes it to be their worst record...

He used to be here but moved onto a 'sister' forum called Boat Drinks where I saw him posting about Aerosmith.

Back in 73 I saw them as Rolling Stones wannabees and funnily enough the track 'Oh Yeah' sounds like a Stones track.
Of course by the 3rd album all thought of the Stones was removed from my head.

Yes that is definatly Joe perry singing

He always seems to have a track on the albums

Did you ever hear the joe perry project? some decent tracks on there.

I had the East West album and thought the original version of Let The Music Do The Talking was superb but I thought Aerosmith did a better remake.
In fact it is my all time favourite Aerosmith song.

everything since pump has been pretty rubbish imo - although i may be alone in liking honking on bobo, mainly because it sounds like they are actually having fun rather than soullessly pumping out pop ballads other people wrote to cash in.
