The Apple Haters’ 7 Stages of Grief

I also heard the definitive test for being a hater was whether you could take photographs of empty boxes or not
Well its obviously empty if im using the phone to take the photo :D
I dislike the way apple represent themselves they are not a company I like but if my partner suprises me with an iphone i cant really not use it when they cost so much.
Personally I would have stuck with android

Not posted from an Iphone 5 thats using tapatalk2

Out of interest, how does one define if someone is biased (for or against) towards a particular company?

From a visually impaired POV, I prefer Samsung as they make larger screens for their phones. With regards to Apple, I've always liked their computers and their earlier iPods. When it comes to later iPods, their iPhones and their tablets though, basically anything with iOS, the politics and Apple/Samsung suing each other's arses off does my nuts in. Apple weren't 1st in this, neither were Samsung.

I see this exact thing regularly at work. I often have customers talking to me about their Apple kit (that they hate) about how much they use it and what for (but it's still ****) and making excuses all the way through justifying why they bought it even though it's clearly crap.
My experience is the exact opposite, everything's crap apart from Apple. We give them a Windows or an Android phone, they turn their nose up at it and demand an iPhone. When we ask them why they need an iPhone the answer is always 'because they're better'. Asking what makes them better usually results in a  look followed by

One thing Apple can never be criticised for is their marketing.

They wear gang colours. Obviously. :D

I own an IP4S and a MBP Early 2011. I will be going back to the PC/Android as I have just lost the love for Apple.

A fair amount of £ worth of investment to turn your back on just because you've "lost the love".

I'm getting rid of my PC. Not because I've "lost the love" but because my workflow fits Apple gear better. That may change in the future. I love the products I own but I have no feelings for the company.

Go back 5 years and what you've said was fairly accurate.

The last time I used a non-iPhone was the Nexus 1. However I work with phones as part of my day job and there does seem to be a mix of Micro and Mini USB. 'tis annoying.

people dont buy them because they are the best, they buy them because its "apple" and your suddenly some kind of upper class citizen if you own one.

Nearly everyone with an iphone that I know believe they are better than everyone else. proper douche bags

Who's been using MiniUSB out of interest? A quick look around just now suggested it's actually pretty much a legislated EU standard (which Apple apparently get around by just offering an adaptor) so i'd be surprised if anyone was really bothering to use MiniUSB instead of MicroUSB, seems a touch pointless.

My Iphone 5 rocks, my S3 also rocks (though is going thanks to the n4) i dont get the hate between apple fans and android fans? I use both and love both of them, maybe i'm the strange one?

Some people are like this - I agree - just check out the number of crap rap songs the iPhone seems to be name checked in lately - but not everyone. My girlfriend has an iPhone and she bought it for none of those reasons. She just likes the way it works.

I personally think Android is superior and as a result do not own an iPhone but that doesn't mean everyone who disagrees with me is a douchebag. People are drawn to iOS because, provided you are happy with the way Apple want you to do things, it does pretty much 'Just work'.

Also, the build quality is absolutely top notch.

Douchebags are attracted to any sort of premium device which they think might make others think they are better if they own. iPhones, Audi's, etc etc. Is it the products fault? Not really.

Exactly how I feel. The investment has really got me down as I should have thought things throughly before I purchased! I'm glad the products do hold their value well, yet I feel I would have got more punch for my money if I went with a PC system. Ok quality wise it may have been a different story, though I tend to look after my goods.

Apple products are nice, the build quality for one is next to non imo. I like the simplicity, that's what attracted me in the first place. Yet, my MBP is just being used for browsing/photo editing. I don't feel I use it enough or to an extent for what I paid for it. I miss Windows, I know you can bootcamp (I prefer to VM), so I'm going to try Windows 8 as I haven't done so yet.

The iPhone does everything that I want it to, but I would like to try Android, and the SG3 has attracted me since most of my family seems to have one now. :o. They all used iPhones previously.

Some HTC Windows 6.5 phones. Rare at our place though as we have moved exclusively to iPhones for our smartphone fleet. Much lower TCO if an initially higher purchase price.

If you want a 'proper' Android experience get the Nexus 4.

lol it's funny you should say this. I was talking to someone the other day about it and i said how good value the Nexus 4 is over the iPhone5, which IMO is woefully overpriced, with nothing new, compared to pretty much every other phone including the IP4S. They accused me of not liking the iPhone 5 "just because i couldn't afford one".

To add insult to injury, this person drives a Y reg Renault Clio, fills up with £10 at a time and thinks that credit cards are for spending other people's money... :(

Well that would explain it, if they're running WM6.5 they were more than likely designed before the standard was agreed and implemented :p

So not current devices then, which was his point. Pretty sure you need to go quite a few years back to find HTC devices without MicroUSB.

I think I have one in a draw at work that's not that old (about two years) that doesn't have MicroUSB.

Not that MicroUSB is without its flaws. Not reversible, can't give a high current for quick charging tablets and is a little on the flimsy side.

I got an iPhone and ipad as it was the only one which fitted my needs. Mainly being able to buy films/tv shows (after web browsing is the next biggest feature I use). So in my case apple were better, they were the only ones at the time offering that. It wasn't till ~may this year did android finally offer the service and MS didn't have an OS suitable for tablets.

People seem to forget people have different uses and just because an alternative now offers that service, it still doesn't make a lot of sense to jump ships as its all tied in. Saying that w8 offers more than enough benefits to write off what I've purchased (although can still play it on desktop)

As far as I can see, the last phone from HTC running WM6.5 with MiniUSB was released in 2009. It was late 2009 that the standard was agreed.
