Yes. Lovely tablet, nice OS. Terrible apps. Hardly any tablet optimised apps. I'd look at the Nexus 10 (same issue though) , the Kindle Fire HD (especially if he is a reader) or the iPad Mini.

Apps seem perfectly fine for me and I've been using a Motorola Xoom for nearly 18 months.

I got a Yamaha DT that I later found out my dad paid £150 for. It worked perfectly and loved it until it was stolen
Waited birthday and xmas for it. Well worth it and my dad loved going on it too
