The Apple Haters’ 7 Stages of Grief

Apple products are for the sheep, those with more money than sense and those employed in airy-fairy non-industry.

Its close enough to be pitying. Hell if he had a Symbian phone it be more worthwhile to mock currently :p

ps3ud0

Symbian is the next hipster fad once iOS reaches critical mass.

My phone runs Symbian, but you've probably never heard of it...

inb4 standard "Maemo is awesome" bull...

My Iphone 5 rocks, my S3 also rocks (though is going thanks to the n4) i dont get the hate between apple fans and android fans? I use both and love both of them, maybe i'm the strange one?

You don't have to be an Android fan to dislike Apple. That's the problem here, many people make that assumption very quickly. They never seem able to explain why disliking Apple means you're an Android fan. It's like a coping mechanism or something.

Everyone I know who's got one is because 'they just work' and they do.
However, my eldest daughter was messing with my S3 and is seriously impressed above her iPhone 4 but thought my SGS1 was crap and her Mum's Orange SF was awful.

Did you know "it just works" is an Apple marketing slogan?

It implies it's some how an Apple feature that the gadget you've bought even works.

If your new gadget doesn't "just work" then there's something very wrong with it.

You can't compare an Orange San Francisco to an iPhone, they occupy massively different areas, one's a budget phone, and one's a high end/high priced phone.

That's part of the problem, you get a lot of people doing that completely ignoring the massive price gulf between them and then use it as an example of a typical android phone versus a typical iPhone.

I get your point about the Galaxy S, but that's an OLD OLD phone now so again you shouldn't really be comparing it. The "turning point" between Android and iPhones was when the Galaxy S2 was released anyway.

The "turning point" between Android and iPhones was when the Galaxy S2 was released anyway.

Which proves my point because up until then Android was very hit & miss.
While I was messing with new ROMs and getting my phones to work just right everybody with an iPhone was already working right.

Hahahahaa :D

Could you not afford one? :p

Post stinks of bitterness :p
I own one... did you not see my post of the iphone 5 box with my post in the background?

They are nice phones and very easy to use but nothing special and certainly don't warrant the price tag they demand when compared with other phones that can do just as much and often a lot more.

I also dont like the fact you don't have much freedom unless your jail break them where as with say an android phone theres a lot of freedom even without rooting the phone.

My experience is the exact opposite, everything's crap apart from Apple. We give them a Windows or an Android phone, they turn their nose up at it and demand an iPhone. When we ask them why they need an iPhone the answer is always 'because they're better'. Asking what makes them better usually results in a  look followed by

One thing Apple can never be criticised for is their marketing.

I obviously get that as well but that's not hypocritical at least.

I often get people ask me 'is that even allowed' if I mention that I've got an Android phone.

As far as computers go I'm staunchly pro-Apple and would honestly at this moment not even contemplate using anything else (purely because I prefer Mac OS and know it inside out - I'd have to be enormously impressed with another OS to consider making the switch and it just hasn't happened yet), but with phones and tablets I think there's loads of good stuff out.

I've got an S3 at the moment and I like it a lot. I like the size of it, the screen is great, and it'll do some stuff my iPhone won't do. I also love that I can stream to my Samsung telly without any other bits.

I think next time I will go back to whatever iPhone is out though, because as much as I like Android, I miss the integration with the other Apple stuff I've got. That is more to do with the fact I have a load of Apple kit though rather than thinking it's not as good as iOS. It is, it's just different.

Having had the S3 makes me realise both how good Android is and how good iOS is at being simple, clean and accessible.

I think the Nexus 4 and 7s price tags will mix things up a bit, hopefully anyway, but I don't suppose it will affect Apple prices sadly. I think about chopping in my S3 for an iPhone 5 sometimes but I'd be looking at a £300 outlay. Seems silly.

I don't think it does prove your point, because it was quite a few years ago now.

It's very likely that while you were messing with your Galaxy S, I was messing with my iPhone getting it to work just how I wanted with jailbreaks and various apps and tweaks from Cydia.

That was your choice though - I've never felt the need to do that.

But I had to get mine to go as quick as an iPhone because it was sluggish compared to one.
Mrs Dimple has the SGS1 now and even with a fast ROM on it's slooooow compared to my 2 daughters iPhones.
Mind you their iPhones are slow compared to my S3.

I am too poor to buy any Apple products :p I might see if I can trade a couple of my yachts and BMWs for an iPhone :p

But that was mainly for acquired IPA files ;)
I did have 2 iPhones to experiment with.
