Thirded, got one myself arriving today (in the next hour or so) and I couldn't find anything that rivalled its power for the cost of it.

What spec did you get Davey? and for what price? and finally how long did it take to come from ordering to landing at your door?

It was exactly £1400, and took 3 weeks from order to delivery, though that was because they ran out of stock of the Vortex chassis with the GTX 680M, and had to wait for more to arrive. Loving it so far, so quick with the SSD as the boot drive (I added a 500GB Sata drive of my own as the 2nd HDD), and it runs like a dream. Only had chance to play one game so far, but Skyrim instantly detected itself as Ultra High quality, and ran as smooth as you like.

So far, it's played everything I've thrown at it in native res with no issues. Absolutely delighted, and just can't be beaten for under a grand (£980).

This.. Ugly brick of a laptop but its or if its all about raw power, can't get better for the price..

I wouldn't say it's ugly (but I know it's a very subjective thing), I find mine to be nice and clean without being flashy. As a couple of people in work commented when it arrived, it just looks like a normal (but big) laptop. It doesn't scream out "I'm really powerful and flashy, steal me!" like an Alienware laptop does.

The power brick is ridiculously big though, I'd be a little annoyed about that I think if I was going to take the laptop out and about a lot. As it's pretty much staying in one place for me, it's not really an issue.

That's what sold me on the alienware. I spent £200 more and got a on site warranty, but most of all the power brick doesn't need it's own bag.
