Is high street shopping in the USA dying too?

Just thinking now that we have another big chain down the pan.

Has Internet convenience and pricing had the same effect over in the US.

I've never been there but I've always assumed huge stores do well over there.
 
Delivery costs can be pretty expensive in the USA, especially if you want it in one or two days.

That is why I tend to go to the stores rather than order online.

Where I live in England though I pretty much buy everything online as the prices are better and delivery is free or very cheap for next day.

Ah fair point. Well are the shops in these malls and retail areas feeling the same impact ours are. I'm guessing it's not quite as depressing over there.
