I have become rather hooked to watching UFC, and am craving more content.

I just wondered if there are any other fans of the sport on the forum as I would like to watch more MMA, but cant seem to find any content other than UFC.

I understood there was the WEC, but that's now gone. :mad:

Any help would be great.

Pride. I don't think they are around anymore, but you can pick up like 3 events on a DVD for <£10, or you can go online...

Pride was excellent and as monkey said can be picked up relatively cheap for a lot of content. The Grand Prix for example, lots of fights. Stopped watching UFC and mma all together a while ago, too much trash talking.

Some of the rules are crazy in Pride, can stamp on heads while they're down but no elbows lol. Wanderlei Silva in his youth too, incredible.

Any of the old Cage Rage, got some Anderson Silva fights in there, EliteXC who went under.

I've lost interest with the way the UFC does things but you can (as already said) get the Pride stuff easily which has arguably some of the best fights I have ever seen. And the whole presentation was more of a spectacle. There was something special about Pride, I mean the UFC is the UFC and you get 'Win by TKO' but Pride was on another level there we had 'KO by soccer kicks'. Plenty on YouTube: Fedor, Wanderlei, Shogun, etc

PRIDE put the "art" in mixed martial arts; it was a thing of both horror and beauty and the presentation was light years ahead of the UFC's trashy "appeal to the lowest common denominator, Bring the Pain" nonsense.
