you wouldn't want him interviewing politicians on Newsnight but he's great when he's getting to know local people.

I didn't really enjoy the first episode but the last two have been OK. Brazil looks a fascinating place. Something for everyone!

Pretty boring series imo, I've only seen this one and the himalayas one and the himalayas was a lot more interesting.

This for me too.... the Criterion edition DVD is one of my most prized possessions. Truly brilliant film.

Series is pretty good so far as well. Enjoyed watching it with herself.

Have to agree, this on the whole has been a bit boring. OK, it's eye-opening - I never knew Brazil had such a diverse populace but the places and people he's been to see so far have not been of interest to me.

I missed yesterday's in Rio. Maybe that was a bit better.
